Khala Kirana. Students Motivation in Reading The English Textbook ‘When
English Rings a Bell’ ( A Case Study at Eighth Grade of SMP N 18 Surakarta
in Academic Year 2020/2021).
The objectives of this research were as follows: 1) To describe the students’
intrinsic motivation in learning English for Eighth grade SMPN 18 Surakarta, 2)
To describe the students’ extrinsic motivation in learning English for Eighth grade
SMPN 18 Surakarta, 3) To describe the roles of the textbook “When English
Rings a Bell “ for Eighth grade SMPN 18 Surakarta as a motivating book for the
basic learning.
