The aim of this research to find out whether there is significant different between students who taught using contextual teaching and learning approach and students who taught without contextual teaching and learning approach at the eleventh grade students of MAN 1 Surakarta in social class 2019/2020 academic year and to know whether this approach more effective in teaching writing skill.
